Waterfront and terrace venues
Specify the intended exposure of each furniture group and show where pieces go when the outdoor area is not in use.
FOR WEDDING & EVENT VENUE OWNERS
Choose Michigan event furniture for the whole venue: ceremony chairs, reception tables, cocktail seating and a practical storage plan. Build a coordinated package around the spaces you use throughout your operating season.

01 / THE COMPLETE EVENT
A waterfront terrace, converted barn and enclosed reception room make different demands on furniture. Assign each piece a use and a storage location before treating it as part of one shared inventory.
Michigan’s venue mix includes urban event spaces, waterfront settings, barns and vineyard properties. A Detroit or Grand Rapids project may concentrate the event indoors; a West or Northern Michigan property may also use a garden or terrace. Describe the actual mix of enclosed, covered and exposed spaces. If your operating setup changes during the year, include the furniture arrangement for those periods instead of preparing only one ideal-day plan.

Check floor transitions, doors and the route between ceremony seating, dining and storage.
Coordinate a dining layout with arrivals and lounge seating, then verify access for the largest assembled piece.
02 / RECEPTION TABLES & CHAIRS
Choose the reception chair around the full dining setting and the look of the room. Compare an exposed timber table with a linen-covered option using the same chair and place setting. Include the tabletop care approach and the staff handling the reset in that choice. Where a venue uses more than one table format, list each size and quantity separately so the package does not depend on an unspecified mix.

03 / CEREMONY SEATING
If the ceremony takes place near the water or in a garden, include an enclosed alternative before finalizing the chair order. Note whether the reception remains set while that alternative is prepared. A shared chair set can work only when it is free at the right moment and can travel the intended route. Keep furniture proposed for exposed use clearly identified, with its specific suitability information requested in the quotation.
Include the aisle, entrance and guest movement in your drawing. Use the venue’s approved layout and have the final arrangement reviewed through your normal venue approval process.

04 / COCKTAIL & LOUNGE FURNITURE
Give the lounge a deliberate indoor position as well as any covered-area arrangement. Smaller chairs and occasional tables may be easier to store or move between layouts than one large sofa. Coordinate upholstery and frame finishes with the dining room, while considering the cleaning and handling routine for each position. A lounge that has a planned home is more useful than extra pieces left at the edge of the room.
List lounge chairs, sofas, side tables and cocktail-height tables separately. Include overall dimensions and the intended indoor, covered or exposed location in the request.
COUNT WHAT OPENS TOGETHER
A venue with separate ceremony and reception sets plus a lounge that has both indoor and covered-area layouts. This illustrative example assumes the ceremony and reception are fully set at the same time, with a separate lounge group.
That creates 280 dining and ceremony chairs before lounge seating. If you plan to share a chair set, confirm when it can move and how the team will move it. Add reserve pieces according to your own operating plan.

05 / STORAGE & CHANGEOVERS
Make storage part of the furniture schedule, including pieces that are out of use for a period. Identify clean, protected locations for upholstery and cushions according to the proposed products’ care requirements. Leave access for inspection and the next setup, and keep recently cleaned furniture handling separate from tightly packed stacks. Confirm the chair cart and table-trolley arrangements for the actual inventory rather than buying handling equipment after delivery.
Request the manufacturer’s stacking, cart and handling information for the specific furniture proposed. Confirm the delivered scope, assembly arrangements and storage requirements with the quotation.

It depends on the specific furniture and exposure. Describe both positions, including storage and handling, and ask for product suitability and care information. A coordinated look can use different indoor and covered-area pieces when one construction is not appropriate for both.
Yes. Include ceremony, reception, cocktail and lounge areas, plus the furniture you want to keep. Share quantities or a rough plan so the conversation can cover the whole package and the order in which you need it.
Send the venue location, furniture types, approximate quantities, finish preferences and timeframe. Include access and receiving details. Current options, price, availability and delivery scope need to be confirmed for the actual order.
